L&M Gas & Grocery began serving the Boone area in 1977 under the ownership of Leo and Marge Fitzgerald. In 2004, the store was purchased by Maribeth Waldman of Boone.
L&M sells gasoline, snacks, propane, and will begin offering a Northern Lights Pizza menu. Customers say that L&M Gas & Grocery has the Best Ice Cream in Town.
